| I'm here to tell everyone about my new toy - an Arlin Liss humidor. I contacted Arlin last fall to discuss a custom made humidor. He was very pleasant and polite and had several suggestions. I decided that I wanted something unique and asked if Arlin could make a humidor made out of Wenge - an African hardwood. Arlin was surprised that anyone else knew of this exotic wood but I told him that I have a jewelry box made with it. After discussing options, Arlin let me know the price and his options - thank God Arlin is a generous soul as he let me make monthly payments that were not too burdensome.
Well, after several changes in hardware options - Arlin let me decide what I wanted and ordered the hardware that I found - and humidification device - you have to get the Cigar Oasis everyone said - I finally paid off the monster. And it is a monster, it weighs in at over 30 pounds! I received my humidor last week and it is absolutely stunning! What can I say other than it is the most beautiful humidor that I've ever seen!!! The dark wood has the most interesting grain that shows up wonderfully due to the lacquering that Arlin has done.
The humidor comfortably holds 125 cigars - more if they are smaller but I prefer larger ring-gauged cigars. Also, I lost some room to the Cigar Oasis but I feel that if you want to truly control the humidity levels then you must have this device.
All I can say is if you want the best custom humidor made by the nicest person you must get a humidor made by Arlin Liss - I'm already planning on another one, hear that Arlin!"
