| I have eight humidors in my collection, three custom made ones, one older Dunhill 25, and four store bought ones. My largest humidor holds 40 boxes and 200 single cigars, and is electronically regulated.
The only humidor which actually keeps my cigars at the proper humidity/temperatue level, however, is the refurbished one I bought from Arlin. As a matter of fact, I only have to check Arlin's humidor every 2 months! The others have to be checked every two weeks, and the expensive electronically controlled one has yet (after 1 year) to keep the humidity at a reasonable degree.
Had I known the problems I was gong to encounter with my largest humidor I would have had Arlin make me one, even at a higher cost. One has to remember that the loss of cigars due to improper controls must be fit into the equation when you think about what and where to purchase storage for your expensive cigars?"
