| "To say that I LOVE my new Arlin Liss humidor would be a gross understatement. I cannot convey in words my feelings for this work of art. It is simply gorgeous. I ordered a mahogany humidor from Arlin. The humidor is massive (by my standards anyway) 14" wide by 20" long by almost 15" tall (containing three levels of large removable trays). It is huge! I currently have about 500 cigars in it. I thought the large size might be a problem in terms of being able to keep the humidity constant throughout the box. I started humidifying it, and couldn't quite get to the "magic" 70. I was consistently at 69. I simply couldn't wait any longer and added my prize cigars. I will be damned if the humidity didn't hit 70 right away. I might add that it hasn't wavered since! From top to bottom the humidity is constant. I love it!
I just can't get over what a presence it has. Not only is it big, but it is extremely attractive. This chest is easily the most prized possession that I have. I cannot stop staring at it! The temptation to open it is almost more than I can stand. The whoosh is extremely loud. Arlin's creation is rock solid. The fit and finish is excellent. The attention to detail is exquisite. No detail seems to be too small for Arlin. The hinges are rock solid, the lock is fantastic, and the recessed handles are unbelievable. Everyone who has been over, even those who don't smoke, have been awed. Everyone's attention is immediately drawn to Arlin's creation. This doesn't bother me a bit as I can rattle (read brag) about it for hours. I love my heirloom quality humidor.
I would not hesitate to recommend Arlin Liss and his work. If you are contemplating a custom humidor, you would serve yourself well in contacting Arlin.
