2. Description/Size/design/
[a] 'Slip
in' Multiple drawered unit for the storage of fresh produce in an 'under the
countertop' kitchen cabinet [to be made by others]
[b] Unit to be sized to fit into an opening of
28" width 24" depth and 18" height
[per drawings provided]
[c] Unit to be able to maintain 15 degree
temperature differential between ambient and interior
[d] Unit to have interior side walls rear wall
and ceiling lined with
Vacuum Panel insulation providing R30 in 1" thickness panels insulating
it from surrounding appliances
[e] Interior drawers to be made of Plexiglas
to mutually agreed design and configuration
[f] Humidity to be able elevated to 85% RH
[g] AC and RH control to be regulated by
Artisan Controller with Humidifier/Power supply and Peltier AC unit
sized to suit
[h] 'shell' of unit to be of 1/2" Baltic birch
plywood [exterior sides, ceiling rear wall and floor] with interior of
Plexiglas or other material to mutual agreement
[i] Finished drawer faces of same materials as
external cabinetry fitted with sealing media to retain RH and TEMP as
desired per above
[j] 110VAC power outlet to be provided for my
unit to plug into for 24VDC power being supplied by my converter/power
supply
[k] Manual periodic water refilling and wick
replacement is required by you [controller with provide visual and or
audible notice of need for water refills]
[l] Wick to be installed in Humidifier and will
need manual replacement every 6 months
[m] exterior face edge of appliance to be oversized to fill void between
cabinet and appliance; to be sized to slip in to opening precisely; no
blocking or shimming to be needed [only 'edge banding' needs to be applied
to cabinet] depth to be sized to maximize space available, assure adequate
air flow and align appliance to edge-banded sides of cabinet ready for door
face installation without additional blocking
[n] drawer faces to have a 'flange' around each drawers face to allow your
mill worker to apply drawer faces matching all other cabinetry
[o] Appliance to be self supporting and self centering; 2.5" cleats to be
affixed to interior sides of casework by mill worker for appliance to rest
upon; ductwork to be suspended above on plywood divider separating warming
drawer from below and to be installed before sliding in appliance.
10. Start / Completion: Commence work within
7-10 days of mutual agreement of the above and receipt of initial deposit with
75-90 days for construction
11. Payment...1/3 with order; 1/3 when 'casework'
commences; final 1/3 due when your ready for Shipment.

August 17, 2008: Final 'not to exceed' dimensions received and work
commenced; mock-up cabinet constructed for fitting/installation design/testing
RH/Temp performance; interior side walls of appliance of 3/8" thick
Plexiglas with floor; ceiling and rear wall of 1/4" Plexiglas


August 19, 2008: Photos showing 'blocking/cleats' needed to be installed by
mill worker to position appliance and steps for installation; also 'mocked up'
Plexiglas face frame shown

Install ductwork 1st:


Once ductwork is secured appliance will slip in place

September 22, 2008:
Appliance revised to accept two AC units; drawers made and installed;
Plexiglas face made; drawer seals made.

New 'mock-up cabinet' shell made; face frame permanently attached to
Plexiglas inner core; sub-drawer faces made and attached for mill worker to
attach his drawer faces too
