Received the humidor today. I am extremely pleased (flabbergasted actually). The workmanship and meticulous attention to detail is stunning. Throughout my life, I have worked with master woodworkers here in Hawai'i by documenting 19th and early 20th century cabinet/furniture making styles and techniques, as well as helping to identify and acquire historic pieces for our museum (I was a museum curator for several years before my current occupation). One of the many conclusions that we came to, was that woodworkers (of your caliber) are becoming a rarity. In our culture, we believe that exceptional craftsmen like you, bring their creations to life by infusing their mana (energy/power...for lack of a better english word)...and to acquire any finished piece them is a high honor. There are a few modern woodworkers today who make humidors here in Hawai'i, but their skills are lacking...on all levels. Before having to "call in a few chips" to ask a Hawaiian Master Woodworker to create a humidor for me, I decided to search elsewhere for a humidor specialist first. It took about a month of intense searching through dozens of websites before finding yours....and I knew right away. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo for this wonderful piece of work...which will become an heirloom for many generations to come! " Keali'i.
